Trey is the son of Brad Barnhart of Lee's Summit, Missouri, and Janelle Murphy of Carrollton, Missouri. He has two brothers and two sisters.
In January 2026, Trey was withdrawn from school and removed from contact with his father and siblings. This site was created to raise awareness and generate tips to help locate him. A guardianship and conservatorship case was subsequently filed in Carroll County, Missouri, seeking to establish appropriate long-term care and legal protection for Trey.
